Empire Of The Sun dominate the 2009 ARIA Awards
With four key Award wins

It was certainly Empire Of The Suns night at this years ARIA Awards. Their four ARIA Award wins and mind blowing performance of their 'Walking On A Dream hit can only mean one thing, they are THE Empire Of the 2009 ARIA Awards!

A spectacular set design of blue pillars and an enormous sun surrounded the band and dancers as they performed to a very appreciative crowd. The performance ended in dramatic style with a shower of pyrotechnics.

Empire Of The Sun won the sought after Awards for Album of the Year, Single of the Year ('Walking On A Dream), Best Group and Best Pop Release and were represented by Luke Steele. Luke thanked Nick Littlemore who plays a producing role in the band and who is currently overseas, Donnie Sloan who contributed to the creative on some tracks and Peter Mayes who engineered the album. Empire Of The Sun are taking their live show on the road with front man Luke Steele leading the charge surrounded by dancers and band members Anthony Mitolo and Surahn Sidhu.

Empire Of The Sun and their creative team also picked up three ARIA Artisan Awards recently for Best Cover Art, Best Video and Producer of the Year.

'Walking On A Dream special edition is available now both digitally and as a 2CD album. It includes the 'Walking On A Dream album on Disc 1 along with a new song 'Girl and live favourite 'Breakdown as part of the 12 bonus tracks on Disc 2.

Also available now to pre-order now is the deluxe edition vinyl box set. Limited to 1000 copies worldwide, this beautifully presented and individually numbered box set is housed in a black box with an exclusive 3D holograph album cover. Included in the box set is gate-fold vinyl of 'Walking On A Dream with songs specially mastered for vinyl, a booklet of iconic illustrations, lithographic early sketch of the album cover –100 of which will be randomly signed by Luke Steele, a DVD of videos and behind the scenes footage as well as audio wav files of the songs and brand new recording 'Girl plus a unique code to access exclusive Empire content.

Just announced in the UK is that Empire Of The Sun have come in at #16 on the prestigious Q Magazine list of Best Albums and have also made The Times list of the
UK Top 100 Best Albums of the Decade. 'Walking On A Dream is also on the iTunes Best Albums of 2009 shortlist.
